The main tourist season in Zambia runs between June to the end of October when conditions are ideal for walking. Zambia’s climate can be split into three distinct periods. From December to April it is hot and wet, with torrential downpours in the late afternoon, making many areas inaccessible to tourists. From May to August it is dry and fairly cool. From September to November it remains dry but gets progressively hotter.
