Africa - Uganda - Country Information
Uganda is a beautiful land of dense rainforest and lush cultivation and the most fertile country in equatorial Africa. Blessed with abundant wildlife, dramatic mountain ranges, and attractive lakes, rivers and waterfalls, Uganda was justifiably considered the ‘Pearl of Africa’ in British colonial times. After the troubled decades of the late 20th century, Uganda is once again emerging as one of the most fascinating destinations on the African continent.

Much of Uganda follows a similar weather pattern to Kenya, although it is rather wetter due to the influence of Lake Victoria. Basically most of the country has a double rainy season, between March and May and between November and December, with two intervening dry seasons, however in the north this can merge into a single wet period with a single dry one. Temperatures are fairly consistent all year round and are not excessively high.
