New yacht La Pinta arrives in Guayaquil
After completing all the navigation tests required, La Pinta sailed from the Port of Callao in Peru, where it was rebuilt, and arrived to Guayaquil on 30th December – right on schedule!
La Pinta has already obtained all the required international maritime certifications and the next step is to complete last minute details, plus the paperwork and permits which will allow this environmentally friendly vessel to operate in the Galapagos National Park starting 7th March this year.
Bales are delighted to announce a very special charter on board yacht La Pinta, leaving the 28th October. This tour will be escorted from the U.K. by a member of the Bales family. We shall be making this departure unique in more ways than one, as also on board the cruise will be a gourmet chef from one of Quito’s leading hotels or private clubs. We have also secured the services of a distinguished Naturalist Lecturer. A full itinerary is available on request.
The Bales Way

March 2008 will see the launch of La Pinta, the newest superior first-class boat to set sail in the Galapagos and we are very excited to be featuring her.
