CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
Located at the foot of the Himalayas,
Chitwan lies in the subtropical lowlands
of southern central Nepal, an area of
rich alluvial flood plains and Sal forest.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park
was designated a rhino sanctuary in
1963 and today boasts an impressive
array of flora and fauna. If you are lucky
you may spot rhinos, tigers, gangetic
dolphins or some of the 450 species of
birds. Chitwan is reached by road or air

the majestic mountain

TREKKING IN THE EVEREST REGION
TREKKING IN THE EVEREST REGION
The Everest Summit Lodges now provide the
option of simple but comfortable
accommodation in the Everest region. The
lodges are located at Monjo, a small village in
a valley close to Sagarmatha National Park,
Tashinga, located at 3,450 metres in a
picturesque setting amidst pine forests and
approximately one hours’walk from Namche
Bazaar (famed for its colourful Saturday
market), Mende, perched above the village of
Thamo and the Monastery of Mende, and
Lukla, gateway by air to the Everest region. The
lodges have 20 rooms, except Lukla which has
only 17, with private facilities. Trekking is slightly
tougher here than in the Annapurna region
due to the higher altitude (maximum altitude
reached on the trails that link the Everest
Summit Lodges is 3,865 metres, or 12,680 ft).You

Discover the awe-inspiring scenery of the
Annapurna range on a trekking holiday,
staying in comfortable mountain lodges along
the route. The Ker & Downey lodges have
been specifically designed for those visitors
who like walking but who are not keen on
sleeping in tents during the trek. The lodges are
set in attractive,well-maintained gardens and
situated approximately five hours’walking
distance apart. The lodges are built in
traditional Nepalese style and each lodge has
eight bedrooms (Gurung Lodge has ten) as
well as a dining room and lounge area with
small library. All rooms have twin beds and
private facilities with toilet, basin and shower. In
line with conservation efforts in this area hot
water is provided by solar power and
electricity from a generator is available mainly

Situated close to Pokhara,
inaccessible by road and reached
only by river, the Seti River Camp and its
surrounding valley is a gloriously unspoilt
region of lush vegetation, traditional
villages and abundant birdlife. This
safari style camp offers the perfect
combination of gardens, forest hikes and
quiet contemplation, whilst traversing the
relatively gentle grade 2 rapids affords a
unique view of the pristine splendours of

TEMPLE TIGER LODGE CHITWAN
TEMPLE TIGER LODGE CHITWAN
Temple Tiger Lodge is located in the heart of the
Royal Chitwan National Park and offers a truly
unique and exciting experience. The resort offers
good service and comfortable accommodation
and the location is perfect for animal sighting,
including tigers. Accommodation at Temple Tiger
is provided in 33 ‘villa’ rooms raised from the
ground on stilts, with a private balcony
overlooking the grasslands. The tastefully designed
rooms, decorated with local Tharu artefacts,
have wall to wall carpets,a sofa and twin beds
or large double bed. There are spacious,
attached bathrooms with running hot and cold
water. The central lodge houses the dining area
and bar. Activities include elephant safaris, boat
