Connect with your flight on Air Botswana to Maun. Upon arrival at Maun International Airport you will be met by a CC Africa Representative and assisted onto your light aircraft transfer to Chobe National Park. Spend 2 nights at CC Africa’s Chobe Under Canvas luxury tented camp. Accommodation is in a tent. Your stay is on a full board basis including scheduled activities and park fees. (D)

Chobe is one of the best wilderness reserves in Botswana and is home to the largest single concentration of elephants. Today you will enjoy game drives in the park plus a boat cruise on the Chobe River, both with expert CC Africa trained guides. (B,L,D)

Isolated from the mainland for millennia, the island is one of Africa’s least explored regions and home to a staggering variety of flora and fauna that is found nowhere else on earth. This spectacular journey takes us from its charming capital of Antananarivo (‘Tana’ for short) and through the national parks of its fertile central highlands, to the idyllic coasts of its northern shores, on an adventure into the heart of the captivating Land of the Lemur.

DAY 1
Fly on British Airways flight, BA312, from London Heathrow to Paris (1205/1420) (1 hour 15 minutes). On arrival, connect with your onward Air Madagascar flight, MD051, to Antananarivo (1655/0445*) (10 hours 50 minutes). *Denotes next day arrival.
DAY 2
Arriving early this morning you will be met by a representative from our local ground agents Tropic Tours.
You will then head eastwards, towards Andasibe (145 KM/approximately 2 hours 30 minutes), traversing a landscape of fertile highlands and parts of the eastern rainforest en route to the Andasibe Mantadia National Park, comprising the Mantadia Park and the Analamazaotra Reserve. Covering nearly 13,000 hectares between them, these remarkable wilderness areas are a rich treasure house of native fauna, being home to no fewer than 11 species of lemur and a dazzling array of bird, reptile and insect life.
Arriving at the Vakona Lodge (or similar) check in for a 2-night stay, after which the rest of the afternoon is free, with the possibility of taking an optional excursion to nearby Lemur Island. (B,D)
DAY 3
Your destination this morning is the Analamazaotra Reserve, home to the Indri Indri, the largest living lemur on the planet, where we intend to take a walk amongst its lush landscapes to seek out this most impressive of animals. Easily detected by its loud shrieks, the Indri Indri can only be seen in the wild (its natural aversion to captivity making it impossible to keep caged). There may also be a chance of spotting common brown lemurs and eastern grey bamboo lemurs amongst the jungle foliage as well. The spectacular diversity of flora in the park is equally impressive, with several varieties of ferns, creepers, orchids and dwarf palm on display amongst the lush tropical vegetation. The reserve also benefits from an informative interpretation centre. Return to the hotel to relax prior to an evening stroll in the reserve in search of nocturnal species. (B,D)
DAY 4
After breakfast, return to Antananarivo. On arrival transfer to the Palissandre Hotel & Spa (or similar) for an overnight stay. The afternoon is at leisure. (B,D)
DAY 5
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your Air Madagascar flight to Fort Dauphin (MD710, 0810/0955). On arrival, transfer to the Berenty Private Reserve (84 KM, 4 hours 30 minutes). Stay 2 nights at Berenty Lodge.
The Berenty Reserve is located along the Mandrare river and is home to a number of Madagascar’s lemurs. Hours can be spent observing the lemurs, both at night and during the day. There is also a small museum with the history of the local Antandroy people. (B,D)
DAY 6
All day is spent exploring the reserve of Berenty. Take a visit within the gallery forest where three species of lemurs are easily seen including the famous ring tailed lemur, the sifaka dancing lemur and the red fronted brown lemur. In the evening a walk within the spiny forest is perfect for spotting nocturnal species such as the mouse lemur, chameleons, birds etc. (B,D)
DAY 7
After breakfast return to Fort Dauphin for your overnight stay at the Croix du Sud (or similar). Fort Dauphin was the first town occupied by the French, in the 15th century, hence its name in honour of the future Louis XIV. Fort Dauphin is a port-town, living essentially on fishing , Fort Dauphin seems to have been abandoned by the rest of the country. (B,D)
DAY 8
This morning is at leisure. Later transfer to the airport for your Air Madagascar to Antananarivo (MD711, 1150/1305). Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Relais des Plateaux Hotel (or similar) which is located close to the airport for an overnight stay. Afternoon at leisure. (B,D)
DAY 9
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your charter flight to the Anjajavy Private Reserve where you will stay for 4 nights. The flight offers you magnificent low altitude vistas of all the scenery offered by the Ile rouge. (B,L,D)
DAY 10 TO DAY 12
Three full days to relax and explore the private reserve. The 450 hectare nature reserve alongside the hotel is home to over 1,800 floral species, most of which are endemic to the country along with many medicinal plants. The forest is also home to many animal species such as the famous Sifaka lemur (dancing lemur), the bird of paradise, chameleon and Cuvier’s oplure (a type of iguana).
Many activities are on offer in the daily programme. Water based activities include sailing, snorkelling, windsurfing and canoeing, as well as big game fishing. Other excursions are possible, such as guided walks, village and market visits and 4x4 excursions. (B,L,D each day)
DAY 13
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your charter flight to Antananarivo. Transfer to Relais des Plateaux Hotel for use of day room. Evening transfer to airport for Air Madagascar flight to Paris (MD050, 2230/0740*). *Denotes next day arrival. (B)

Day 1

Day 2
Connect with your flight on Air Botswana to Maun. On arrival, transfer by light aircraft to Chitabe Camp, a luxurious eight roomed, tented camp built on one of the most beautiful islands in the Okavango Delta where you will spend 2 nights. A combination of open floodplains, wooded islands, and lagoons in the surrounding area sets the scene for a wide variety of wildlife. Once you have settled in, go on an afternoon game drive in an open topped 4x4 vehicle.
Day 3
Go on a morning and afternoon game viewing activity. Game viewing at Chitabe is superb, with a good chance of spotting elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, reedbuck, giraffe, impala, zebra, buffalo and hippo. Depending on the time of year, wild dogs are also resident in the area. Night drives can be very rewarding with good sightings of the rarer nocturnal animals.
Day 4
Transfer by light aircraft to Xigera Camp, a waterland paradise in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve where you will spend 2 nights. Permanent water all year round allows one to enjoy an unparalleled variety of activities including foot safaris, mokoro trips, game drives and powerboat outings in total privacy. Paradise for avid birdwatchers, Xigera is home to Pels fishing owl, African skimmers, slaty egrets, wattled crane, lesser jacana and a host of eagles, vultures, raptors and kingfishers. It also boasts one of the highest densities of the rare and elusive sitatunga antelope found anywhere in the Okavango Delta. Go on an afternoon game viewing activity.
Day 5
Xigera has something for everyone in an area where there are no other Moremi camps. Enjoy a true Delta experience while you sit back in a mokoro (dugout canoe) and silently glide through the wonders of the tranquil Okavango waterways observed by a myriad of delta creatures. Watch the sun setting and the birds gliding home to roost from a motorboat on the Xigera Lagoon. Observe the wildlife and unique delta scenery from the comfort of an open topped Land Rover or, for the adventurous, track animals on foot. Or simply take in the beautiful sunrise from your comfortable bed while sipping your morning tea or coffee.
Day 6
Transfer by light aircraft to DumaTau, located in a private 125 000 hectare Linyanti Wildlife Reserve which borders onto the western boundary of Chobe National Park. The camp is built on raised boardwalks under a shady grove of mangosteen trees, overlooking a large hippo-filled lagoon within the Linyanti waterways. Spend 3 nights here. The source of the Savuti Channel is close to the camp and game drives along the Savuti are one of the highlights of the camp. Go on an afternoon game viewing activity.

Day 7 & Day 8
Activities are diverse and allow guests time on the water, on land and occasionally on foot. Day and night game drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles. Elephants are one of the area's biggest attractions, especially in the dry winter months, along with the red lechwe, zebra, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, sable, roan, eland, giraffe, baboon, monkey, warthog, crocodile and buffalo. Then there are the predators - lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena, the nocturnal animals - bush babies, springhare, aardwolf, serval, genet, pangolin and the smaller predators. Birding is great here - from the Okavango "specials", such as slaty egret, whiterumped babblers and wattled cranes, to the bushveld species.
Day 9
Following your morning game viewing activity you will be transferred by light aircraft to Kasane. Transfer across the Zambezi River to Livingstone in Zambia. Spend 2 nights at the River Club, located on the banks of the Zambezi. The afternoon is at leisure to partake in any of the activities available.
Day 10
The Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is arguably the greatest waterfall in the world. Daily trips to the Falls are a highlight. Boating to the Zambezi River's islands provides relaxed afternoon activities, and fishing and sundowner trips are offered. The Zambezi National Park is located just across the river, and elephants can be seen on the river bank. A rich bird life is found in the area. Hippos are regularly sighted (and heard) along the river's edge.
Day 11
Transfer to the airport to fly to Johannesburg. Connect with your flight on British Airways to Heathrow.
