Egypt, Morocco and Arabia - Libya - Country Information
Libya has only recently opened its doors to tourism after years of isolation and houses some of the best and well preserved Roman and Phoenician architecture to be seen anywhere in the Mediterranean, including the astonishingly well-preserved remains of Leptis Magna, founded by the Phoenicians a thousand years before Christ at the mouth of Wadi Lebda, and now an acclaimed World Heritage Site. The Libyans are incredibly hospitable and visiting the country is a really unique experience.
