Egypt, Morocco and Arabia - Jordan - Country Information
For a small and relatively compact country, Jordan is incredibly diverse and has a great deal to offer. With justification, Jordan`s top tourist attraction is Petra - to walk through the narrow defile (“Siq”) and behold the Treasury for the first time is a very special sight. But Jordan has more to offer – the Roman city of Jerash for example, is extremely well preserved and the lunar landscape in the desert at Wadi Rum is awe-inspiring.

April, September, October and early November are the most popular months to travel to Jordan. However, the country can be visited year round. In spring and autumn, temperatures are generally pleasant and these are good seasons for sightseeing. During summer (June to September) the weather is usually hot and dry. Rain falls generally between November and April. In winter (November to February) it will be cool in the north and there is usually snow on the mountains. Whatever the season, nights are usually cool in comparison with the daytime temperatures.
