The Governor’s Residence is an imposing Burmese teak mansion restored to its former glory in the Embassy Quarter of Yangon (formerly Rangoon). The hotel is run by the prestigious Orient Express group and all 49 rooms have air conditioning, satellite television, mini-bar and personal safe, and are decorated in tropical cottons and silks, overlooking the garden and swimming pool. The hotel is just a short walk from the Golden Shwedagon pagoda.
