Belonging to Maharajah Dalip Singh and carved out of red sandstone, Fort Chanwa is situated 35km from Jodhpur. The delightful 18th century fort is surrounded by courtyards, towers and stairways leading to the 47 uniquely furnished rooms capturing the romance and grace of a bygone age. The small village is home to many artisans who work with metal, clay or wood providing a variety of crafts. There is also a swimming pool and small fitness centre.
