 | Hammerstein Rest Camp is situated an hour’s drive southwest of Maltahöhe, in scenic surroundings below the Tsaris Pass. The German name of the farm is derived from one of the granite boulders in the vicinity, an enormous rock shaped like a hammer. Guests have a choice of camping facilities, bungalows equipped for self-catering, or lodging in one of the 24 twin-bedded rooms with ensuite. A swimming pool, bar and restaurant serving typical Namibian dishes complete this overnight facility situated a mere 80km from Sesriem, gateway to the famous Sossusvlei. |
