The Santa Clara Convent was built at the beginning of the seventeenth century. Used as a charity hospital for some time and having fallen into disrepair, in recent years it has been transformed into a first class hotel, managed by Sofitel. The hotel has 162 rooms, some with views of the Caribbean. The hotel, which is located in the historic old quarter, has a large outside swimming pool, 3 restaurants and a bar.
