Although best described as basic, the Hotel Campement is well run with helpful staff. Most of the 36 rooms have an overhead fan and all have a mosquito net and private shower, although please note only cold water is available. The hotel has electricity, which is run on a generator, from 6pm to 12 midnight and again from 5am until approximately 8.30am and additionally, has a restaurant, serving set meals and a pleasant outdoor seating area. It is the only hotel that is ideally situated for excursions into the Bandiagara escarpment.
