It has six compact cabins measuring 5.75m x 2.50m; each with its private bathroom of 1.25m x 2.50m with a toilet, wash basin, shower and hairdryer. Four cabins have two single beds and two a double bed (triple cabins are not available) and the maximum capacity is twelve passengers. The two accommodation buildings are open sided allowing the breeze to provide natural cooling. Sleeping in a hammock is a fun and comfortable way to spend the night. The Libertador Palacio del Inka Hotel in Cusco was built by Francisco Pizarro, the first Spanish Governor of Peru. He built the 258 room Casa de los Cuatro Bustos as his own palace. The Maria Dolores Inn in Trinidad has 45 rooms (the majority in chalets). It is a farm, developed to provide accommodation. Although the chalets lack character they are functional and are equipped with air-conditioning, fridges, TV’s and en-suite bathrooms with showers. They also have a large sitting area and outdoor terrace. The property is located on the banks of the River Guarabo and the gardens overlook this. There is a swimming pool and restaurant/bar area.  

The Mayfair Hotel in Darjeeling is a converted house with several cottages built in the gardens. There are only 21 rooms, which are tastefully decorated and have open fires that are lit on request. As well as the main restaurant, the hotel has a cosy bar and a library. In Sikkim and Bhutan one must be prepared for unsophisticated facilities. The rooms are simple but comfortable with private bathrooms and electric lighting. The voltage (240 v) can fluctuates and power cuts may occur. Furthermore, the plumbing can also be erratic and both these points can affect the supply of hot water to the rooms. In this instance it is possible to order freshly boiled water to be sent to your room. Throughout the year, all hotels do undergo maintenance and renovation work; although this mainly takes place in the less busy months between April and September, occasionally more major work is necessary without prior warning.

The Motor Yacht Tucano was built for the rivers of Amazonia in 1997 and has a shallow draft which allows it to navigate the many tributaries.
