The Nasca Lines Hotel has 30 rooms and a few suites, and enjoys an excellent reputation. There is a good restaurant and quiet lounge, as well as a swimming pool and tennis court.  

The Nest Hotel consists of 73 sea-facing rooms and come equipped with ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, TV and phone. The hotel has its own private beach as well as a sauna and swimming pool. Built into the rim of the dormant volcano, the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is built with native stone, covered in ivy and plants. Most of the 75 guestrooms have a private terrace with uninterrupted views of the crater floor, and en-suite facilities. The Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is situated on the uppermost rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, and boasts large well-equipped rooms. All rooms are centrally heated, and the bar and dining room feature large log fires in the evenings. The lodge can accommodate 190 guests in 92 rooms, each with two queen-size beds and ensuite bathroom. There is a swimming pool located on the very edge of the crater itself.  

The Nile Beauty has five decks. The reception is located on the second deck and the dining room is situated on the third deck. The lounge/bar on the fourth deck is attractively furnished and has a relaxing atmosphere. The open-air section of this deck includes a small plunge pool; it is partly covered with an awning in hot weather for those who want both fresh air and shade. The fifth deck is the open sundeck from where you can enjoy sunbathing while watching the panoramic view of the Nile Valley. All cabins have a small fridge, television, internal telephone, twin beds, private shower, toilet and washbasin. There is central air-conditioning, with individual controls in each cabin. All cabins are outward facing and have good-sized windows. The laundry service is good. Clothes are returned the following day and an express service (same day delivery) is usually available at an extra cost. The small gift shop sells souvenirs and postcards.  

In Cairo, accommodation is at the Nile Hilton Hotel. Enjoying an unrivalled location overlooking the Nile and next door to the Egyptian Museum, the Nile Hilton is one of Cairo’s modern landmarks. All 433 fully air-conditioned rooms have private bathrooms, telephone, T.V. and mini bar (soft drinks), and have a balcony overlooking either the Nile or the city. The hotel has a large swimming pool and health club, an extensive shopping arcade and a wide choice of restaurants: the Ibis Coffee Shop (open 24 hours), the Rotisserie and Da Mario’s Italian Restaurant. Nile Palace Hotel is located on the banks of the Nile, this newly opened hotel has 302 rooms, some of which have a balcony or terrace overlooking the Nile. Facilities include an outdoor heated swimming pool, health club and gym, shopping arcade and bazaar. There are several restaurants to choose from offering a variety of cuisine. 

A Nile cruise differs from a Mediterranean or ocean cruise in several ways. Essentially, Nile cruise ships are smaller than their ocean-going counterparts, as their size is limited by the locks and bridges on the River Nile. Launched in 1989, the Nile Romance has 75 spacious cabins, all fully air-conditioned with ensuite shower and toilet, mini-bar and internal telephone. Facilities include a plunge pool and sundeck, dining room, lounge, 2 bars and a gift shop.  

No Hotel 

Norbu Gang Resort in Pelling has eleven cottages set amidst landscaped greenery. The cottages face the mountains and each has its own private veranda and are equipped with attached modern bathrooms with hot and cold water throughout the year. The Resort also has a modern hotel annexe within the resort complex. The hotel complex has 25 deluxe rooms and a suite, called the Denzong Suite. All rooms have attached bathrooms and a private balcony with an undisturbed view of the mountains. 

Novotel Cusco occupies a central location and has 99 rooms and suites. Part of the hotel building dates from the 16th century although the rooms have a contemporary style. The hotel has two restaurants and a bar. 

The Novotel Suvarnabhumi Hotel at Bangkok airport has recently opened and can be accessed along a 280 metre walkway from the airport. It offers excellent accommodation and facilities include four restaurants and a bar, a health spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, shopping arcade and entertainment complex.  

The Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp is located on an exclusive wildlife concession bordering on the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. The maximum of 18 guests are accommodated in classically elegant safari tents, with stylishly appointed en-suite facilities. Each tent has a veranda overlooking the grasslands stretching to the permanent Delta in the distance. There is a swimming pool at the camp.
