Located on a hill overlooking Lake Llanquihue and the town of Puerto Montt, Cabanas del Lago in Puerto Varas offers sweeping vistas of the lake and the Osorno and Cabulco Volcanoes. It is just a few minutes walk to the heart of town. The hotel has 63 rooms. Facilities in the hotel include a restaurant and lounge, an indoor pool, sauna and gift shop.

Peter Taylor is an American herpetologist and tropical ecologist in residence at Caiman House Field Station. Peter will show you the local animals he has under observation: generally snakes, spiders and insects. In the late afternoon you will accompany Peter and his indigenous crew as they capture black caiman on the Rupununi River, a research project you can observe and even join, as they weigh, measure and collect other scientific information. Please note that during periods of high water it is very difficult to capture black caiman. During such times you will be offered instead of caiman capture the opportunity to join Peter on a nocturnal foray to observe small mammals, birds, snakes, amphibians, insects, spiders, and the occasional caiman.

The Cap au L’Este is in a beautiful setting with accommodation divided between 5 chalets. Each contains between 3 to 10 rooms, with private bathrooms and a shared living room area. One large chalet houses the restaurant, bar and main living area. 

Located on Cape Town’s Victoria and Alfred Waterfront occupying its own quay, the Cape Grace is an elegantly, luxurious small hotel. All 14 rooms are individually decorated, with traditional shutters, wooden floors, ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, international direct dial telephone, television, tea/coffee maker and mini bar. Accommodation at the Casa Andina in Chivay (near the Colca Canyon) is fairly basic, as this region has only recently opened for tourism and development is still in its early stages.  

The Casa Andina Hotel in Cusco is centrally located, just a block away from the main square. Please note that, although the hotel serves breakfast, it does not serve any other meals. However because of the hotels central location, we do not consider this to be a disadvantage as there are several very good restaurants within a short walk of the of the hotel.(no web address available) The rooms here are small.In the Amazon you will stay at the Posada Amazonas Lodge and the Tambopata Research Centre. Both offer basic accommodation, but enable guests to have the opportunity to experience the Amazon in these remote areas.  

Overlooking Lake Titicaca, the Casa Andina Private Collection, Puno which opened in 2006, has 32 rooms all with private facilities. The hotel has a bar and gourmet restaurant.  

The Casa Andina Private Collection Miraflores is scheduled to open in January 2008. The hotel, situated two blocks from Miraflores Central Park, will have 148 rooms. Other facilities at the hotel include 2 restaurants, a spa, gym and heated swimming pool.

Casa Conzatti has been converted from the home of an Italian Naturalist and Botanist who lived in Oaxaca at the end of the 19th century, into a pleasant hotel with 45 air-conditioned rooms and suites. The hotels’ restaurant, ‘Magnolias’ serves local cuisine as well as international dishes.  

Casa Santo Domingo Hotel is located in and occupies a vast area, enclosing the central excavations of the original monastery. The 3 China Regal Cruise Ships (sister ships built to the same design) are amongst the finest vessels operating on the Yangtze River. Built in Germany in 1993, the ships are western-managed, and have been specially designed for the difficult navigational requirements that make the Yangtze unlike any other river in the world. The atmosphere on board ship is very informal and the ship itself is much smaller. The ships have 124 twin-bedded or single cabins (all with private shower, toilet and air-conditioning). Cabins are relatively small, and this applies in particular to the dedicated single cabins on the ships, which we do not recommend. The single room supplement shown in our price grid is therefore based on sole occupancy of a twin-bedded cabin. As the cabins on the China Regal cruise ships are relatively small in area it is possible to upgrade to a Suite (please contact our Sales Department for the applicable supplement) 

For the first night in the Gran Sabana we stay in the isolated and basic Chivaton Lodge, run by the local indian community. There are 10 stone-built rooms, arranged in two blocks of 5 beside a small wild garden of rocks and thorns. Rooms are simple, with attached bathroom (shower-only). Hot water is not always available, and there is no electric point in the bathroom for a shaver. Toilet paper is to be deposited in a bin beside the w.c. The main building contains long communal tables and chairs where dinner and breakfast will be served.

The Ciudad Real Hotel Palenque, is situated around 10 to 15 minutes drive from the archaeological ruins. The hotel, built in a Mexico/Caribbean style has 72 rooms and suites which all have air-conditioning. The Palapas Restaurant serves Chiapanecan, Mexican and international cuisine.

The Corinthia Bab Africa Hotel was completed and opened in April 2003 and is the only true 5 star hotel in Libya currently. All 300 rooms are a good size with ensuite bathrooms (shower only), hairdryer, mini-bar, air-conditioning, personal safe and satellite television. Due to the design of the hotel all rooms have a sea view. Hotel facilities include 2 restaurants, 2 swimming pools (1 indoor, 1 out doors - ladies can use both at any time of the day) and health club. The hotel can change currency (although bank closed on Fridays).  

The Costa Rica Hotel Punta Leona is a resort surrounded by 750 acres of lush tropical rainforest. The Selvamar Rooms are situated about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the beach. The complex has 3 swimming pools.
