No trip to Nepal can be fully complete without an opportunity to stretch your legs in the Himalayas. It does not mean you have to trek all the way to Everest Basecamp however you can walk to Thyangboche Monastery (3,867m) for wonderful views, of the world's highest mountain, in relative comfort. Likewise in the beautiful Annapurna foothills the Ker and Downey lodges we use are in spectacular locations, and an excellent way to see this glorious countryside, or you can opt for a luxury camps for that more authentic feel. As with all our portered treks everything will be taken care of for you and you need only worry about the views and carry your daysack.
In Peru we offer the chance to walk the routes to Machu Picchu in exceptional comfort utilising the first-class service of the Mountain Lodges of Peru which are not only sited in pristine locations but also work in conjunction with local communities. If you spend some time in the Sacred Vally outside Cuzco the are plenty of options for wlaking, riding, mountain biking or exhilarating white-water rafting along the Urubamba River. if you are exploring Costa RIca and want to get active then take the opportunity to try out some of the highest canopy lines and zip-wires as well as some of the excellent rafting amidst its mountainous interior.
In Zambia stretch your legs on a walking safari in South Luangwa National Park where your mobile camp will greet you each night for sundowners and dinner out under the stars. Further east if you reach Swakopmund on Namibia's Skeleton Coast then you are in one of the self-proclaimed adventure capitals of Southern Africa, Livingstone and Victoria Falls is another, where a myriad of activities are on offer for all levels of fitness.
