Using our 65 years of expertise, Bales Worldwide prepares a number of tours in advance that are designed as small group Escorted holidays or Select tours. We believe our Escorted and Select itineraries are a superb way to get to see a county, with like minded travellers and the knowledge of local guide. They can also be used as a starting point from which to tailor-make your own bespoke holiday.

Escorted Tours

Bales Escorted Tours are the perfect way to experience some of the world’s most inspiring destinations in the company of an expert guide. We have designed the very best itineraries, going at the ideal times of year, to include the must see sights and a chance to get under th e skin of the local cultures.

Our tours are fully escorted through out your journey. Groups are kept small with an average of 8-12 participants and a maximum of 20 allowing your experience to be more personal and allowing us to use, on many occasions, smaller preferred properties. You will get all the benefits and security of travelling with a group without the big  numbers that can sometimes be involved.

Tipping is included (except for your escort), as are many meals, and the majority of the sightseeing.

Heritage Tours

Some of these Escorted programmes have been designated Heritage Tours. This is a collection of som of our longest-standing and most popular tours: itineraries that continue to delight and inspire travellers year after year. These are classic tours with classic routes showcasing the very best of a destination.

Select Tours

Bales worldwide Select Tours are a collection of itineraries that have fixed departure dates and are guaranteed to operate with a minimum of 2 passengers. Rather than a full escored journey, you will be met in each location by a local, expert English speaking guide to ensure the destination's culture, history, cuisine and wildlife is brought to life.

Solo Travellers

A good proportion of those travelling with Bales Worldwide do so on their own, mostly on our group tours, and they are actively welcomed. Group tours offer safety and security as well as they chance to meet and enjoy the company of like-minded travellers. With this in mind we have done our utmost to reduce the cost of those travelling on their own. We are pleased to advise that we hae been able to negotiate for single room supplements to be reduced or completely removed from a wide selection of tours - see Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania and Peru for examples.
