  • Tortuguero National Park

    Tortuguero National Park

    Lying Amongst the wetlands and jungles of north eastern Costa Rica, the Tortugero National Park is 312sq km of astounding natural diversity, with no fewer than 11 different habitats on offer. Only reachable by boat or plane, the park’s Caribbean beaches provide prime nesting sites for several species of sea turtles between February and October, however July is considered a prime month to witness this sceptical. In fact Tortuguero is the most important hatchery in the Western Caribbean for green sea turtles, with over 35 km of beaches protected for them. The park also provides one of the best destinations in the country for bird watching, whilst its rivers and forests are home to rare manatees, caimans, sloths and jaguars.

  • Arenal

    Arenal

    Rising to over 1,600 mt above the surrounding landscape and the waters of Lake Arenal, the perfect cone of Arenal Volcano has consistently been Costa Rica’s most active volcano, with 7 major eruptions since 1968 and many more smaller displays. Aside from regular large and small pyroclastic displays, the park is also home to the largest man-made lake in the country, several waterfalls and hot springs and a number of pleasant hiking trails.
