      Day 1- Board an Emirates flight from the UK to Dubai.

      Board an overnight Emirates flight from London Heathrow to Dubai (7 hours).

      Day 2- Arrive in Sydney.

      On arrival in Dubai connect with an onward flight to Sydney (14 hours) where on arrival in Sydney you will be transferred by private vehicle to the Shangri-La, staying three nights in a deluxe opera house city view room.

      Day 3- Enjoy a morning harbour cruise and tour of Opera House.

      Make your own way across to Circular Quay to board your Morning Main and Middle Harbour Coffee cruise. This two-hour cruise takes you right around Sydney Harbour and into the upper reaches of Middle Harbour. Cruise includes commentary and a light morning tea. Return to Circular Quay and enjoy a one-hour Sydney Opera House tour. See inside the world's most recognisable sails and experience this miracle of architecture and engineering. A work of art that came into existence against impossible odds, to become one of the busiest performing arts centres in the world. Working with new, rich audio-visual components, where images are projected onto the fabric of the building, your guide will take you on an emotional journey, engrossing you in a story to rival any opera plot with its dramatic twists and turns. Some 1,500 performances, from opera to circus, rock and cabaret, are staged each year to audiences of around 1.5 million.

      Day 4- Full day at leisure.

      A full day at leisure to explore Sydney at your own pace. Sydney has it all, with a vibrant waterfront that is alive with yachts and ferries of all shapes and sizes, all set before the backdrop of one of the most easily recognizable harbour settings on earth. Climb the famous bridge and take in the city’s harbour and landmarks from an altogether more original vantage point, or choose to explore the historic Rocks district, the heart of the old city. Browse some of the many stores that line Sydney’s bustling streets, head for one of the nearby beaches, or sample some of the many superb restaurants on offer in this most friendly and cosmopolitan of cities.

      Day 5- Fly to Uluru (Ayers Rock) followed by evening Sounds of Silence dinner

      Today you will be transferred to the domestic airport for your Qantas flight to Uluru/ Ayers Rock (3 hours 30 minutes), situated in the heart of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. On arrival you will be transferred by shared vehicle to the Sails in the Desert for a 2 night stay in a spa room. Early evening a coach will pick you from your hotel to commence your Sounds of Silence dinner tour. Transfer to the dinner site and enjoy champagne and canapés before being seated for dinner while the sun sets. Enjoy dining on Northern Territory's culinary delights such as barramundi, kangaroo, emu, crocodile, bush salads, and classic Australian desserts. Following dinner the lanterns are extinguished to reveal a star filled night. Be guided through the night sky by the Resort's Resident Astronomer. Tour concludes approximately 4 hours after commencement.

      Day 6- Half day Kata Tjuta tour, rest of the day at leisure.

      Travel through the landscape to the entrance of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From there is it a 40km journey through the desert landscape to the mighty rock formation. On arrival at the viewing area, walk to the best vantage point to see the 36 domes that comprise this spiritual place while watching the sun’s morning glow as the desert comes alive. Make way to the western side of Kata Tjuta where there is the opportunity to relax and enjoy an outdoor picnic breakfast. Approach the entrance to Walpa Gorge, named for the wind (Walpa) that whistles between the massive domes that shape Kata Tjuta, the result of eons of weathering and continual upheaval, the guide will share the significance of this men’s sacred ceremonial site. Take a stroll between these mighty conglomerate rock walls as the guide explains how the environment and the geology has evolved over millions of years. Tour concludes approximately 10.30am, at which time hotel drop offs will commence. The rest of the day is at leisure. Maximum group size 12 passengers.

      Day 7- Fly to Cairns.

      Transfer by shared vehicle back to the airport and depart on your Qantas flight from Uluru / Ayers Rock to Cairns (2 hours 30 minutes) where on arrival you will be transferred to the resort of Palm Cove for a five night stay at the Reef House Resort & Spa in a brigadier beachfront spa room.

      Day 8- Full day cruise to Great Barrier Reef

      A coach will pick you up from your hotel for your transfer to Cairns Marlin Jetty, the departure point of your cruise. At 8.00am board your vessel to commence a full day cruise to Michaelmas Cay. Travel aboard a 32 metre luxury sailing catamaran to Michaelmas Cay, which is a picturesque vegetated Sand Cay encircled by a superb fringing reef. The Cay is a National Park and a protected sanctuary for migratory seabirds. Lunch is included. Enjoy four hours on the Reef where you can choose from a range of activities including snorkelling, semi-submersible tours and guided beach walks. Receive a complimentary glass of Australian sparkling wine and live entertainment on the homeward sail. Cruise concludes at approximately 5.00pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.

      Day 9- Full day Kuranda Rail, Skyrail and Tjapukai tour.

      A coach will pick you up from your hotel to commence a full day Kuranda Rail, Skyrail and Tjapukai tour. Transfer to Freshwater Railway Station to board the 8.45am Kuranda Scenic Railway for a journey to the village of Kuranda. Enjoy spectacular views as the train travels through 15 hand cut tunnels and past spectacular waterfalls. Stop at Barron Gorge to view the falls before arriving at Kuranda Station. Free time is available to explore the "Village in the Rainforest", and its many attractions, including the Heritage Markets which operates daily. Other Kuranda Village attractions you may wish to visit are Birdworld, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or Kuranda Koala Gardens (own expense). Board Skyrail at the scheduled time advised by the driver, and glide above the rainforest canopy to Caravonica Lakes. Take a short walk to the fascinating Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Enjoy lunch (own expense) before being greeted by an indigenous guide who will escort you through the park to discover this ancient culture through theatres, stage shows and demonstrations. Tour concludes at approximately 4.40pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.
