Pushkar
One of Hinduism’s holiest places, the town of Pushkar lies on the shores of a revered lake 146 km to the south west of Jaipur. In November the town plays host to one of the largest camel fairs in all of Rajasthan. We recommend the luxurious tented Greenhouse Resort, located 10 km from Pushkar.

Meherangarh Fort
Meherangarh Fort is a magnificent Jodhpur fort and a living testimony that recounts the chronicles and legends of Jodhpur's rich past. The invincible fortifications are six meters thick with some of the walls still bearing cannon marks. Jodhpur Mehrangarh Fort Museum is one of the finest museums in Rajasthan. It is beautifully laid out with a palanquin section where you can see a wide collection of old royal palanquins

Jaisalmer
Once a major outpost on the caravan routes, Jaisalmer sits amongst the desert landscapes of western Rajasthan. Dominated by its imposing fort and filled with characteristic old merchants’ mansions known as ‘havelis’, it still evokes a strong sense of timeless character; its wonderful architecture, narrow labyrinthine streets and intricate exterior carvings making Jaisalmer a pleasure to explore on foot.

Nimaj Tented Camp
Between Jodhpur Sagar and Jaipur, overlooking a lake abounding with seasonal bird life, the Nimaj tents at Chhatra Sagar, tranquil camp consists of 11 comfortable en suite tents. The unique ambience of the setting is enhanced by the excellent home cooked cuisine. Family guided farm and village visits can be arranged as well as bird watching tours.

Havelis
Located within the cultural triangle formed by Delhi, Bikaner and Jaipur, Shekhawati is famous for its beautifully painted havelis, wonderfully rich architectural treasures that date back to the 18th century. The regal elegance of the historic Alsisar Mahal Palace provides the perfect base from which to explore this fascinating region.

Amber Fort
The Amber Fort set in picturesque and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh the fort was made in red sand stone and white marble. The rugged forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise with a beautiful fusion of art and architecture. Amber is the classic and romantic fort-palace with a magnificent aura. The interior wall of the palace depicts expressive painting scenes with carvings, precious stones and mirror settings. In the foreground is the Maota Lake providing a breathtaking vista

Lake Pichola
Called the ‘Venice of the East’ and the ‘City of Lakes’, Udaipur is probably Rajasthan’s most romantic and elegant city, a breathtaking collection of palaces, temples and gardens that evoke the true majesty of Rajasthan’s golden age. Surrounded by lakes, forests and the dominating slopes of the Arvalli Hills, Udaipur’s luxurious hotels are worth considering for an extended stay at the end of a hectic touring holiday and avoids a further flight to the coast

Ranakhpur
Situated 2 hours north of Udaipur, the Jain temples of Ranakpur boast some of the most important and beautifully intricate temple architecture in the country and are best visited either as a day trip, or en route to other destinations.
