Bales Worldwide (formerly known as Bales Tours) was established by George Bales in 1947. The company is still led by a member of the Bales family (Mandy Nickerson nee Bales), and is now a part of the Virgin Holidays family.
Within a few years of starting, the pioneering spirit of the Bales family had covered the globe. Our tours now range from Borneo to Tanzania, from Canada to the Galapagos, and Tibet to Morocco, offering a mix of the popular and the unusual. There is so much out there to inspire that hasn’t been seen so we are constantly scouring each region to find interesting paths for you to explore. Thanks to our local guides and experienced staff, we can honestly say that we know every destination inside-out. Recently (December 2009) Bales Worldwide made the important decision to join the Virgin Holidays team. Although joining Virgin, may seem like a big change, the company is still running in the same, reliable way it always has, still under the direction of Mandy Nickerson. Joining Virgin has meant that Bales can move forward as part of a strong established holiday group.
