 White Water Rafting

Enjoy river rafting down mountain rivers flowing from the majestic Canadian Rockies. This exhilarating experience is suitable for all ages and abilities. Options range from a leisurely river float with a guarantee that you will not get wet, to a trip with rafting thrills and excitement.

The river gives the opportunity to explore remote areas and view some of the best scenery in this region. You may also glimpse some of the unique wildlife including beaver, elk and osprey. All rafters are provided with safety equipment and information. Half and full day trips available daily from May to September.

Heli-Hiking

Heli-Hiking is a uniquely different way to experience the wild and remote places in the Rockies – exciting, exhilarating and overwhelming. This once in a lifetime experience is suitable for all ages and all fitness abilities.

Based in a remote lodge, the day is spent hiking and exploring, with long, short, strenuous and leisurely hikes to choose from. A typical day might begin with an above the world ridge walk with stunning wild views of mountain ranges, followed by a helicopter pick-up and a quick flight for a peaceful picnic in a meadow surrounded by beautiful and delicate mountain flowers. Another short flight to a sparkling cobalt lake and then follow a mountain stream and discover its transformation into a crashing waterfall. The experienced mountain guides are captivating as they share their passion and knowledge of the mountains. The lodges are designed in an alpine style offering exceptional hospitality, gourmet food and comfortable rooms with private facilities.

Calgary Stampede

An exciting ten days every July when the Old West comes alive with a citywide celebration of true western hospitality and rousing fun. The rodeo is the focal point, with chuckwagon racing, agricultural exhibitions, stock shows and Grandstand Show extravaganza 7th – 16th July 2006.
