Useful information

I have to admit, going to Libya I had NO idea what to expect. It was a more Middle Eastern country than an African country, The food, people, religion, customs were generally Middle Eastern and yumm...the couscous and falafels were good! I tend to define the places now more by the food then anything else!!

Anyway, the main thing during my stay in Libya was going to the ancient Roman ruins called Sabratha and Leptis Magna set along the Mediterranean. I think Leptis Magna is up in my top 3 sites I have ever seen. It really took my breath away! It was enormous, with a gorgeous backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea, and it was not flogged with tourists.
