Mandy re-discovered Bhutan to keep its place in her top five countries

What really took my breath away was the scenery of the Himalayas, though cold it was quite magical to see snow and the mountains covered in snow.
The people that we met along the way – be it brief encounters had so much dignity and more than that a true inner contentment and peace. Of course I know that many of the people we would have engaged with are in tourism so you could be cynical and say of course they will go out of their way for you but genuinely they are happy. I loved the Buddhism - , not the first time I had encountered it, but I just felt on this trip we had the opportunity, be it brief to understand it a little further.
I have several warm memories and in terms of the local memories I will never forget visiting tigers Nest and feeling so so privileged to come to the place that many Buddhist pilgrimages strive to come to all their life. Without a doubt it touched each and every one of us and whatever creed or religion people had there was a special spirituality here.
Bhutan in every way surpassed my expectations – it has not moved from my top five as now I have to go back and explore more.
