Travelling in a style befitting the Pharaohs themselves, combining the sumptuous grandeur of ancient Egypt with some of the finest accommodation available both on and off the Nile, this exceptional cruise itinerary takes you from the vibrant streets of Cairo on a journey along the Nile Valley to the lands of ancient Nubia. The Nile Valley boasts breathtaking testaments to one of the greatest civilisations of the ancient world. Sailing through this fertile landscape aboard the luxurious Sonesta St George takes in the wonders of Luxor, where the Valley of the Kings and the imposing majesty of Karnak and Luxor Temples afford an insight into the might of the New Kingdom pharaohs. Passing riverside villages and islands of swaying papyrus we journey through timeless vistas, where traditional feluccas ply the waterways much as they have for millennia and the grandeur of Edfu and Kom Ombo line the banks on the journey to the bustling souks of Aswan.
