Depart Heathrow on Thai Airways International flight via Bangkok to Yangon (11 hours 20 minutes).

On arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred by private vehicle to the Governor’s Residence for two nights.

Your city orientation tour today will include a visit to the Sule Pagoda and the City Hall. Pass by the Karaweik Hall for a photo opportunity before visiting the Royal Barge on Kandawgyi Royal Lake and Chaukhtatkyi - the Reclining Buddha. In the afternoon, shopping at the Yangon’s busiest & liveliest Bogyoke (Scott) market is followed by a visit at sunset to the world famous Shwedagon Pagoda.

After a morning flight from Yangon to Heho in the Shan States (1 hour 15 minutes) where you will be met and transferred by road Pindaya. Early this evening, you will experience your first spectacular flight by hot air balloon over Pindaya. Overnight at the Inle Inn Pindaya.

Morning excursion to the Pindaya Caves and after lunch transfer by road to Nyaung Shwe on the edge of Inle Lake. Inle Lake is home to the extraordinary ‘leg-rowing’ fishermen who have
developed an original, eccentric way of rowing with one leg, leaving their hands free to drop their tall conical nets over passing fish. Late afternoon trip on the lake by traditional leg rowing Intha canoe. This is a leisurely trip on the calm waters of the lake around Intha village and amidst the floating gardens. Three nights at the Inle Princess Resort.

Morning visit to a local market. With assistance you will select ingredients before continuing to a local house for a traditional Intha traditional cooking experience with the family who will then join you for lunch. The afternoon is at leisure at this beautiful lakeshore location, surrounded by mountains inhabited by colourful hill tribes.

Morning balloon ride over Inle Lake. Lunch today will be at Ayethayar vineyard and will include a private tour and wine tasting session.

Your balloon flight this morning is followed by breakfast and a visit with your guide to the nearby bird preservation centre. The rest of the morning is at leisure and after lunch return by road to Heho for the flight to Bagan (1 hour). On arrival, transfer to the Thiripyitsaya Sakura Hotel for a 2 night stay.

Your morning balloon ride, a unique opportunity to see the ancient temples of Bagan from an entirely different perspective, is followed by sightseeing of the temple highlights in and around the ancient city of old Bagan. Bagan is one of the most impressive archaeological sites of Asia. More than 2,000 temples and pagodas dot the dry plain beside the Irrawaddy, some dating from the 11th century. This evening enjoy a sunset river cruise.

A morning visit to Bagan’s main market is followed by a guided tour of Dhamma Yan Gyi Pagada. Following lunch, transfer to the airport for the flight back to Yangon for 2 nights at the Governor’s Residence.

Free day, with option to visit Bago, travelling via Taukkyan, the largest war cemetery in Myanmar and the impressive Shwemawdaw Pagoda.
