Evening flight from London Heathrow via Madrid with LAN/Iberia to Santiago.

On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Crowne Plaza Hotel (or
similar). Afternoon sightseeing tour of Santiago, a modern city located in the
shadows of the snow-capped Andes, and, with its excellent climate, close to some of
the best wine-producing areas in the world.

Fly from Santiago to Punta Arenas where on arrival you will be met and
transferred to a hotel selected by the cruise company for an overnight stay. In
the evening, you have the opportunity to meet and dine with your fellow cruise
passengers at a special Welcome Dinner held at the Jose Nogueira Hotel. Also
receive a briefing about travelling to Antarctica and what to expect there

Today is the start of the Antarctic adventure as you leave the mainland of
South America and fly to Frei Station which is on King George Island, part of the South
Shetland Islands. Operated by Aerovias DAP, which has over 20 years’ experience
of flying in Patagonia and Antarctica, the type of aircraft used is a Canadian De
Havilland Dash-7 which has a capacity of 48 passengers including the crew and has
been specially designed for this kind of flight. On arrival, you will have the opportunity
to view the Chilean and Russian bases. At Fildes Bay, take a zodiac ride and board
the MV Grigoriy Mikheev

As you cruise between the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic
Peninsula, sailing along ice-filled fjords, and between spectacular icebergs, you will
enjoy the company of sea birds, penguins, seals and whales. The journey south may
include visits to some of the most magnificent spots in the white continent such as
Hannah Point, Port Lockroy, Petermann Island, Paradise Bay, Cuverville and Deception
Islands amongst others. The adventure will be full, with daily landings and cruises in
zodiac boats and on-board lectures.

Enjoy days 7-9 cruising the Antartic Peninsula. (Same as Above) Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served each day.

The Grigoriy Mikheev returns to King George Island from where you fly back to
Punta Arenas. Stay overnight at the Cabo do Hornos Hotel.

Commence the long journey back to London on LAN Airlines flying via
Santiago and Madrid. Alternatively, you can choose to extend your stay in
Patagonia and visit the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park.
