This afternoon is spent soaking up the rich contrasts of India’s eclectic capital, an
engaging mix of colonial grandeur and Moghul elegance.

Continue with a morning of sightseeing to include the magnificent India Gate
and the Raj Ghat, the fascinating and often overlooked Gandhi Museum, the 16th
century Humayan’s Tomb and the Chattarpur Hindu temple complex

An early morning express train takes you to Agra and the iconic splendour of
its sandstone fort, as well as the incomparable setting of the Taj Mahal, one of the
world’s most famous monuments to love. Overnight at the Trident Hilton.

Leaving Agra, travel via the perfectly preserved 16th century sandstone city of
Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive in Jaipur this afternoon and transfer to the Trident Hilton

This morning we visit the hill top fortress of Amber, once home to the mighty
Rajput rulers with its myriad courtyards and dramatic Chamber of Mirrors.

A morning tour of the fabulous ‘Pink City’ reveals a wealth of treasures,
including the magnificent City Palace, power base of the rulers of Jaipur since the
18th century and today the repository for some of its most revered artefacts. Also visit the Hawa Mahal, better known as the ‘Palace of the Winds’ before taking the late afternoon express train onwards to Jodhpur for your stay at the Taj Hari Mahal

After a morning’s sightseeing that includes the dominating presence of the
15th century ramparts of Meherangarh Fort, this afternoon there is an excursion to a
traditional Rajasthani village for an insight into a rural way of life

The city of Udaipur is for many the most romantic of Rajasthan’s glittering
gems with its picture postcard lake side setting. Travelling via Ranakpur today (please note photography is not permitted) you will have chance to gaze upon the marble elegance of the largest Jain temple in India, before continuing to the ‘City of Dreams’ for accommodation at the Trident Hilton. Alternatively, upgrade to the fabulous Taj Lake Palace from £270 per person.

A morning visit to the beautiful City Palace unveils a collection of terraces,
