Depart London Heathrow on Gulf Airways flight via Bahrain to Kathmandu.

Arriving in Kathmandu this afternoon transfer to the Hotel Himalaya.

At leisure in Kathmandu, with free time for optional sightseeing.

Morning flight to Pokhara, then transfer by road to start of the trek. Begin
walking through the foothills of the Annapurnas, affording spectacular views of the
Pokhara Valley. Hike down to the Modi River and Sanctuary Lodge (1,060m), where you overnight. For those with the energy there is the option after lunch to walk to the nearby village of Birethanti (trekking time 3 hours).

Leaving the lodge this morning follow the Modi River Valley and begin a climb
up towards the mountains, passing small hamlets, rice fields and forests en route to the Himalaya Lodge (2,000m) in Ghandruk (trekking time 5 hours).

After a spectacular sunrise over the magnificent Annapurna Range and a
relaxing breakfast, take a guided walk through the village and the surrounding
countryside, ascending to a maximum height of 2,400 metres. Ghandruk is renowned as the main recruiting centre for the famed Gurkhas, as well as being a rich source of traditional Nepalese rugs (trekking time 4 hours).

Leaving the lodge after breakfast this morning, pass through the charming
villages of Kimche and Lamakhet, where you will take a picnic lunch besides the
Modi River. Crossing the river after lunch continue through the village of Patlekhet,
passing terraced farmland en route to Gurung Lodge (1,450m). Overnight amidst an enchanting setting of traditional Nepalese architecture (trekking time 5 hours

Departing Gurung Lodge we enter sub-tropical forests of tree orchids and Departing Gurung Lodge enter sub-tropical forests of beautiful tree orchids
and rhododendrons, heading towards the village of Pothana, a vibrant hive of
Tibetan traders. Taking lunch at Basanta Lodge, there is then the option of a walk
to the village of Dhampus. Alternatively you may wish to relax and soak up the
landscapes around the lodge. Overnight at Basanta Lodge which offers sweeping
views of the Annapurna range (trekking time 4 hours).

Depart this morning and descend through woodland and terraces to the
valley floor, where you transfer by road back to Pokhara (trekking time 2 hours). Return by air to Kathmandu where overnight is spent at the sumptuous Dwarika’s Hotel.
