Depart London Heathrow this evening by Jet Airways flight to Delhi.

On arrival we transfer to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This afternoon is
spent amongst the highlights of New Delhi, the 20th century creation of the British Raj

Our morning tour of the city includes the spectacular tower of Qutb Minar
and the Humayun Tomb, before finishing amidst the colourful exuberance of the
Chattarpur temple complex. This afternoon you are free to further explore in the
Indian capital or relax before dinner at the hotel this evening.

Travelling via the mausoleum of Akbar the Great at Sikandra, a morning’s drive
brings us to the great Moghul capital of Agra, where we stay at the Trident Hilton

Two highlights of our journey are the Taj Mahal and the imposing Agra Fort and
this morning we visit both. We recommend an optional visit to the Taj at sunset - the opportunity to experience this spectacular sight should not to be missed

Leaving Agra, we visit the atmospheric and deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, the
16th century testament to Akbar the Great which was abandoned after just 14 years. Arriving in the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur later today we transfer to the Trident Hilton.

Driving out to the hill top citadel of Amber we visit the old capital of the Rajput
rulers, before returning to the city for an afternoon tour of the city.

A day’s drive takes us to Khimsar, which is situated on the edge of the great
Thar Desert, we overnight at the 15th century fortress of the same name.

Following our exploration of the fort at nearby Nagaur we have a free
afternoon, perhaps taking an optional jeep safari to a nearby village.

We journey via the Jain temples of Osian to the spectacular walled city of
Jaisalmer, probably the finest in all Rajasthan. Stay at the Fort Rajwada Hotel.

This morning we explore the delights of Jaisalmer with its narrow cobbled
lanes, intricately carved temples and elegant merchants’ houses.

Driving south to Jodhpur today we overnight at the Taj Hari Mahal.

After a morning’s sightseeing including the spectacular Meherangarh Fort we
continue to Luni where we have a chance to enjoy a unique glimpse of traditional
village life. Overnight at the delightful Fort Chanwa.

Drive to the stunning Jain temples at Ranakpur (please note photography is not permitted), with their intricate carvings,
before continuing to the lake city of Udaipur and the Trident Hilton.
