Morning departure from London Heathrow by KLM (or similar) via Amsterdam,
to Lima arriving late afternoon. Stay at the Casa Andina Private Collection Miraflores.

Your morning tour of Lima affords an opportunity to explore its UNESCO
Heritage colonial centre and also to visit the private Larco Herrera Museum, which
houses a large collection of gold, jewellery, textiles, ceramics and much more.

Morning flight to Cusco. On arrival head into the Sacred Valley stopping at the
traditional Andean weavers of Awanacancha. After lunch, visit the Seminario Pottery
Workshops in Urubamba whose products are inspired by ancient Peruvian cultures.
Afterwards, continue to the Casa Andina Private Collection Sacred Valley.

There is much to see in the Sacred Valley and today you will visit the imposing
ruins of the citadel at Ollantaytambo, this town being the best surviving example of
Inca city planning. Also visit a local corn beer brewery and the market at Pisac

Transfer to Ollantaytambo station this morning to board the train to the
magnificent ruins of the lost Inca city of Machu Picchu, where you will have a tour of
this most remarkable of sites. After the tour and lunch, return by train and road to your
hotel in the Sacred Valley. Alternatively, for those who would like to stay longer and
re-visit Machu Picchu, you may stay overnight at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel. A
ticket to visit the ruins the next day will be included, and you will return to Cusco by
train on the afternoon of Day 6. The supplement will be £180 per person sharing and
£85 single supplement, and this should be reserved at the time of booking.

This morning a leisurely transfer by road takes you back to Cusco on a different
route from your arrival, stopping at the Andean village of Chinchero. In Cusco, stay at
the Casa Andina Private Collection, located close to Coricancha Temple.

morning sightseeing tour takes in the glories of one of the most spectacular
cities in the Americas, including the Spanish grandeur of its colonial heart and the
brooding Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, site of the Incas last stand against the
Spanish invaders. This afternoon is free to continue exploring at your leisure.

Free day to enjoy more of this most beguiling of locations, with an optional
excursion available to the village of Andahuaylillas noted for its 17th century church
known as the ‘Sistine Chapel of the Americas’ due to its stunning Baroque interior,
