Day 1
Leave London Heathrow in the evening by LAN/Iberia code share flights via Madrid to Santiago.

Arrive Santiago in the morning, and transfer to your hotel.

At leisure in Santiago with optional excursions available

Day 4
Transfer to the airport and fly to Ushuaia in Argentina, the world’s southernmost city situated on the island of Tierra del Fuego. Embark on the MS Fram and commence sailing late in the afternoon.

Day 5
The first part of the voyage involves crossing the Drake Passage. This infamous stretch of water connects two of the world’s great oceans, as the Atlantic meets the Pacific.

Day 6
The Fram heads for the northernmost tip of the vast white continent of Antarctica, the Antarctic peninsula and the South Shetland Islands.

Day 7
A series of talks on the wildlife of Antarctica, the history of exploration and the guidelines of the region which must be observed, will be given during these days at sea.

Day 8
Once in Antarctica, the landing sites vary from voyage to voyage. It is hoped to visit Deception Island, Lemaire Channel, Port Lockroy, Alm Brown, Petermann Island, Neko Harbour and the Arctowski research station.

Day 9
If a landing is made at Half Moon Island you will see a chinstrap penguin rookery and at Cuverville Island, a large Gentoo penguin rookery is present.

Day 10
Leave the Antarctic peninsula during day 10.

Day 11
Sailing the Drake Passage via Cape Horn to Ushuaia.

In the morning, disembark at Ushuaia. It may be possible to visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park before transferring to the airport for your flight to Santiago, where you stay overnight
