Day 1
Afternoon flight from London Heathrow to Casablanca on Royal Air Maroc. On arrival your Tour Manager will meet you and accompany you on the short journey to Rabat for an overnight stay at the Sofitel Diwan (flights are based on British Airways for the departure on 16 February 2008).

Day 2
Morning sightseeing and a welcome lunch within the Medina. Later this afternoon continue through to Fez (198 KM/approximately 3 hours) and stay at Le Meridien Merinides Hotel

Day 3
Oldest of the great imperial cities, Fez dominated Moroccan life for a
millennium and its cultural significance has been recognised in its status as a
UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today we visit some of its highlights, including the 9th
century Andalusian Mosque, and enjoy the eclectic bustle of a truly unique city.

Day 4
This morning we journey to Meknes, the once imposing stronghold of Sultan
Moulay Ismail, before continuing to Volubilis to visit its beautifully preserved mosaic
floors. After a brief visit to the holy city of Moulay Idriss we return to Fez later this
afternoon.

Day 5
A fascinating drive takes us via the mountain town of Ifrane and through the
gorges of the Ziz Valley to the town of Erfoud. On arrival late this afternoon we transfer
to the Kenzi Belere Hotel.

Day 6
After a leisurely morning we journey by 4-wheel-drive vehicles into the desert
landscapes to witness an unforgettable sunset over the empty dunes.

Day 7
A morning’s drive through the evocative desert vistas brings us to the
spectacular Todra Gorge, from where we continue through the Dades Valley to
Ouarzazate and the enchanting Berbere Palace Hotel.

Day 8
Today we explore the dramatic strongholds of Morocco’s famous kasbahs,
the fortified villages that nestle amongst the valleys to the south of the mighty Atlas
Mountains. The afternoon is at leisure

Day 9
Crossing the high passes of the Atlas Mountains we descend to the stunning
city of Marrakech, the best known of Morocco’s imperial cities and the country’s
spiritual heart. Stay at the hotel Riad Medina & Spa.

For centuries the meeting place for Berber tribesmen and the desert nomads
of the south, Marrakech is a stunning entrepôt of cultures and traditions. We explore
the highlights of the city today, including its vibrant souks and the spectacular
Jemaa el-Fna Square, the focal point of the city.
