Day 3
This morning depart Treetops and return by coach to the Outspan Hotel where you will rejoin your vehicle. A morning’s drive brings us to the shores of Lake Nakuru (235 KM/approximately 3 hours), home to thousands of brilliantly colourful flamingos, whose regular flights turn the still waters of the alkaline lake into a blaze of colour. We overnight at the Lion Hill Lodge, where its spectacular vantage point overlooking the shoreline affords the possibilities of some memorable views of the abundant wildlife that flock to the lake. This afternoon you will have a game drive.
Meals: B, L, D

Day 4
Situated within the eastern Rift Valley of equatorial Africa, this shallow, alkaline lake is famously home to the breathtaking spectacle of the thousands of flamingos that flock to its rich waters, turning the lake into a blaze of dazzling colour. But Nakuru, which was established as Africa’s first ever bird sanctuary in 1960, can also boast a spectacular concentration of other wildlife, including black and white rhino, leopard, the endangered Rothschild giraffe, lion and nearly 500 species of birds, including pelican, cape teal, tawny eagle and African fish eagle. There will be both morning and afternoon game drives.
Meals: B, L, D

Day 5
Today we drive into the spectacular game lands of the Masai Mara (250 KM/approximately 6 hours), Kenya’s northern extension of the vast Serengeti Plains and the country’s greatest game park for our stay at the Masai Mara Simba Lodge. This afternoon enjoy a game drive across the park, ever hopeful of some spectacular sightings of the famous ‘Big Five’ (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo), hippos and the abundant birdlife that thrives amongst the grasslands and forested banks of the Mara and Talek Rivers.
Meals: B, L, D

Day 6
The Masai Mara is with good reason considered one of Africa’s most spectacular safari destinations. It contains amongst its teeming wildlife almost every species to be found in East Africa. Its rich savannahs echo to the sound of lion and leopard, rhino and elephant, whilst its expansive plains thunder beneath the hooves of countless thousands of zebra, antelope and wildebeest. There are few places on earth where man and nature can come together in such an impressive display of majesty and splendour. We spend the day on morning and afternoon game drives, making the most of the time allowed to us in this fabulous arena. Heartland of the Masai, southwest Kenya presents a landscape where Africa is laid bare in all its majesty. Here the endless struggle for survival is played out across the vast open plains and riverine forests of this captivating land. Each year the Mara explodes into life, as the annual migration of great herds of wildebeest journey from the Serengeti to fresh pastures in the north. Between July and October the Mara River becomes the setting for the crossing of some 1.3 million animals, bringing with them the inevitable predators and the inevitable dramas.
Meals: B, L, D
