Lying amongst the prairies of western Canada, Manitoba has a rich diversity of landscapes and wildlife extending far beyond its famed polar bears. In the summer the tundra blooms into flower and the area becomes a haven for beluga whales and birds. Unlike our October departures, our summer date includes a stay at Riding Mountain National Park covering nearly 3,000 sq km and encompassing large areas of boreal and deciduous forest, grassland and wetland areas, offering a haven for an array of native wildlife. On the Hudson Bay there will still be the chance to search for polar bears, not as numerous as in the cold winter, but they can usually be found using the special adapted tundra vehicle and helicopter.
