The Mövenpick Royal Palm Hotel Dar Es Salaam is located just 12 KM from Dar es Salaam International Airport. ocated on the banks of Lake Nzerakera, Selous Safari Camp has been designed to blend in with the spectacular natural scenery. The camp has the prime position at the centre of the unique riverine and lake complex, with the highest concentration of African wildlife and myriad birdlife. There are no fences and no artificial modifications to the natural fauna and so animals wander freely through the camp. Each of the nine safari tents sits atop its own raised timber platform and has been designed with widest side to front, to maximize views and breeze with 6 ft wide double beds, bedside tables & lamps, ceiling fans and ambient 240v lighting, en suite bathrooms with double brass basins, cupboard space and dressing area. The adjoining shower area is open to the stars and there are two verandas - one to the front of the bedroom and the second to the rear of the tent. ocated on the banks of the great Ruaha River, the lifeline of the Park, Ruaha River Lodge offers you the privilege of your own riverside 'banda' designed to blend seamlessly into the surroundings. The local stone and thatch room has minimal impact on the environment and game viewing from your veranda is a relaxing and enthralling option. There are 20 rooms (bandas) with twin or a double bed and en suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and wash basin with solar-heated hot water. The rooms are protected with mosquito gauze on the windows and a generator provides electricity for lights and battery charging until 11 pm each night with hurricane lamps provided at dusk. Drinking water is available as is early morning tea and coffee. There is also a complimentary laundry service. The lodge’s activities focus on game drives in open 4-wheel-drive vehicles, usually accompanied by both a guide and a spotter.
