The Alta Hotel has 23 rooms and is situated in an elevated location overlooking the Central Valley. Most of the rooms either have a balcony or private patio. The restaurant – La Luz – serves Nouvelle cuisine. The Alta Hotel has a pool with Jacuzzi.

Opened in 1994, Laguna Lodge was built to appreciate its surrounding. All rooms are accessible by a long covered patio with rocking chairs that overlook a 12-acre tropical garden. The hotel itself sits on a narrow strip of land 600 feet wide bordered by the Caribbean Sea and Tortuga Lagoon, and includes a butterfly farm. The hotel’s beach is not for swimming, but rather for observing thousands of Green turtles who lay their eggs there from June to October. Exploring Tortuguero National Park and lesser-known jungle canals are easily accessible from Laguna Lodge.

The Volcano lodge has 40 spacious and comfortable rooms, each of the rooms have air conditioning, TV, private bathroom with hot water, safety deposit box and a hair dryer. The lodge facilities include a restaurant, swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

The Fonda Vela Hotel in Monteverde has nine buildings nestled in the landscaped property, all designed with natural lighting, privacy and warmth in mind.
