In the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro surrounded by Acacia trees and a natural spring, lies Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. Around the lodge roams the big game that has made East Africa legendary. This is also an excellent area for bird viewing. The lodge overlooks a saltlick and a floodlit waterhole where you will encounter some interesting game sights. Dinner can be enjoyed in the open-air dining room with a selection from international menus, buffets and barbecues. The full service bar is located next to the dining room, while another serves the pool area. Influenced by native Masai architecture, the lodge is in perfect harmony with its environment. Guest rooms are decorated with African art and murals painted by a local African artist. Amboseli Serena Lodge offers 96 guest rooms, all with private bathroom. Built into the rim of the dormant volcano, the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is built with native stone, covered in ivy and plants. Most of the 75 guestrooms have a private terrace with uninterrupted views of the crater floor, and en-suite facilities. Kirawira Tented Camp is situated on a hilltop that overlooks the plains of the Western Serengeti. The open-sided architecture in the public areas allows you to constantly keep in touch with nature. The dining room, lounge and bar are situated in a large tent with raised wooden flooring. The 25 tents featuring en-suite bathrooms with showers have private balconies offering fantastic views over the Serengeti. Daily game drives are conducted in the area and there are game-viewing hides on the banks of the Grumeti River where you have a good chance of spotting crocodiles and other game coming to drink.

he Mara Serena is an interpretation of a traditional Masai Manyatta village of domed huts that are styled and arranged to blend into the natural landscape. The public areas of the lodge include a restaurant, bar, lounge, curio shop, swimming pool and beauty salon.
