Day 1 : Serena Mountain Village Lodge

The Serena Mountain Village Lodge is a charming 46 roomed lodge built in traditional style which nestles in the heart of a coffee plantation close to Arusha. The lodge is a re-creation of a traditional African village with views of Lake Duluti, Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. The nature trail around Lake Duluti provides a sanctuary for over 130 different bird species and is an ornothologists paradise. Each stone-built room is housed in a thatched circular dwelling, clustered in the grounds like a typical African village. All guestrooms have ensuite bathrooms, individual verandahs, carved furniture and net-draped beds. This Serena property has a main dining room and Curio shop.

Day 2 : Tarangire Sopa Lodge

The Tarangire Sopa Lodge is located on the eastern side of the Tarangire River opposite Tarangire Hill. The lodge is 30kms (20 miles) from the park entrance gate, about an hour's drive through an area rich in wildlife. Opened in 1995, the lodge can accommodate 160 guests in 75 suites, each enjoying wall-to-wall carpeting, a private lounge with a mini bar, a bedroom with two queen size beds, an en-suite bathroom with shaver sockets and a hair dryer, and a private veranda, which offers stunning views over the baobab studded landscape. The lodge has IDD telephone facilities as well as satellite TV and wildlife-video-film options. The lodge has a unique swimming pool, located at the edge of a rocky gorge with its own bar and snack kitchen, offering a refreshing interlude between game drives.

Days 3+4 : Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

|
The Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is situated on the uppermost rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, and boasts large well-equipped rooms. All rooms are centrally heated, and the bar and dining room feature large log fires in the evenings. The lodge can accommodate 190 guests in 92 rooms, each with two queen-size beds and ensuite bathroom. There is a swimming pool located on the very edge of the crater itself.

Days 5+6 : Sopa Lodge
|
|
|
The Serengeti Sopa Lodge is situated in the south west of the park at an altitude of 1615 metres with commanding views over the Serengeti Plains. The 79 guest rooms are spacious and feature a separate lounge area. All rooms have ensuite facilities with 2 queen size beds and a private balcony. There is a restaurant with panoramic views, a guest shop and a swimming pool.

Day 7 : Lake Manyara Serena Hotel

The design of Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge was inspired by the abundant birdlife in the area. Swooping curves are complemented by soft, geometric patterns with striking murals adorning the walls. Located on the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment the lodge boasts breathtaking views over the Great Rift Valley. The outdoor swimming pool is particularly special with a vanishing horizon to Lake Manyara. Traditional dance performances are usually held in the evening.
