In the Autumn of 2011, the Egyptian Government announced they are opening up the majestic River Nile to allow for the long awaited return of classic cruising all the way from Cairo to Aswan. This iconic 600-mile journey was one of Bales Worldwide’s most popular holidays prior to it closure 15 years ago which is why we’re thrilled to share with you our intentions to provide luxury sailing opportunities along this historically rich river from this October.

Explore the lesser known sites of Middle Egypt, such as the rock-cut tombs of Beni Hasan, Tell el-Amarna and Abydos; a must for those who are fascinated by the history of Egypt. However the greatest highlight of all may just be rediscovering the River Nile cruising aboard one of our luxurious and traditional Dahabiyyas sailboats - catering for just 12 passengers in total – one of only a handful of boats that will be allowed to make this beautiful, timeless journey.

Bales Worldwide have been arranging luxury tours to Egypt for over 50 years and we are using our wealth of experience alongside our longstanding team in Egypt to finalise new 600 mile itineraries.
