2009 Brochure Launch

The launch will commence with our India and the subcontinent brochure. Neeleshwar Hermitage, a brand new resort in Northern Kerala, and The Golden Chariot, a luxury train adventure, are just a couple of our recommendations to make your visit a holiday of a lifetime. An increase in the number of visitors who are looking to travel beyond India’s well travelled paths has led us to introduce tailor made ideas to the rarely visited but fascinating town of Orissa.

After the tremendous success of our first three dahabiyyas, our Egypt, Morocco and Arabia brochure sees the introduction of The Musk, our 4th vessel on our Nostalgic Nile tour, now offered as an 8 day journey simply cruising the Nile, or 12 days which includes a stay in Cairo. We have utilised our 60 years of experience in Jordan to come up with five escorted holidays, with plenty of opportunities to trek this diverse and interesting landscape.

From a long weekend in Rio, to a 22 day tour of Chile and the Falkland Islands, our Latin America brochure presents you with a raft of new options. New for 2009 / 10 are the Mountain Lodges of Peru, so you can now avoid camping en route to Machu Picchu and stay in luxury. Not to mention our Mayan World Tour, which takes in the Mayan sites in El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico.

An expanded range of China, Japan and Indochina options can be found in our Orient brochure, including real off the beaten track ideas, as well as The Yangzi Explorer, which will set sail for the first time in July 2009. This new vessel is one of the most exclusive cruise boats plying through the waters of the stunning Three Gorges region of China.

One of the many new itineraries in our Canada and Alaska brochure is the Yukon River Journey. Small groups take an exclusive wilderness safari down the historic river, with a pilot and experienced local guide. This journey offers plenty of opportunities for wilderness and wildlife viewing, nature photography, bird watching, hiking, paddling and visits to historical sites.

We are extremely excited to introduce Madagascar into our Africa brochure. This island off the African coast is a haven for over 200,000 species of which 75% are endemic. Still largely un-spoilt, it’s ideal for those willing to trade modern comfort for a unique experience. Also new for Bales is the Shamwari Ranger School. This incredible hands-on ranging experience combines luxury accommodation, game drives, walking safari’s and a fly camp sleep out in the African bush to bring you face to face with South Africa’s wild and diverse fauna and flora.

And finally… our second edition of Australia and New Zealand brochure will be out in November.
